Specification
Most owners we build for are in one of these. The work is the same either way — what changes is what you have to worry about.
I don't have a website
Word of mouth still works. A Facebook page and a Yelp listing still work. But when someone new pulls out their phone and searches for your trade near them, you are not in the results. They call whoever is.
You do not need to write anything, design anything, or learn anything. You send a few basics. I do the rest.
What you were probably worried about
I have one and it's bad
If it pinch-zooms on a phone, loads slowly, or still lists a number you stopped using, people assume the business is gone. They don't call to check. They tap back and call the next one.
You already paid for a site once. That is a fair reason to be careful, so here is the part nobody tells you: you do not lose what you have built.
What happens to what you already have
Type your business name and pick your trade. This is a real, working layout — the same structure I build for paying clients, drawn here in your browser as you type.
It appears in the site as you type.
This is a layout demonstration, not your finished site. The real build uses your own copy, your photos, and your service area.

The real one takes me a few days, uses your actual services and your real photos, and goes live on your own domain. It's free to see before you decide anything.

Every site I build is measured on a phone and a normal connection before it goes live.
One price, one scope, one handover. Here is the whole list, including the parts that are not in it.
Home, your services, the areas you cover, about, and contact. Not a one-pager.
IncludedMost of your customers are on a phone. No pinch-zooming, no tiny text.
IncludedSomeone fills it in, you get an email. Tested before launch, not after.
IncludedOr cleaned up if it already exists. This is what puts you on Google Maps.
IncludedGoogle treats every city as its own market. One page can't cover two of them.
IncludedYou see it, you tell me what's wrong, I fix it. That's included, not extra.
IncludedIncluding the DNS part you should not have to think about.
IncludedLogins, files, accounts, ownership. You can hand it to anyone else tomorrow.
IncludedThree questions come up every time, and you should not have to book a call to get the answers.
Real businesses, real live sites. Screenshots are of the actual pages.

Four steps. You are involved in two of them.
You — 30 seconds
Five boxes on one page. No call, no pitch, no card.
Me — 2 business days
A real mockup of your actual business, not a template with your name dropped in. Free, and yours to walk away from.
Me — 2 to 3 weeks
I write the copy, build the pages, set up the forms and your Google profile. You review once and tell me what to change.
Both of us — one afternoon
Logins, files, accounts, ownership — all handed to you. No retainer starts. Nothing renews.
The prices are on the pricing page, in numbers, with what's in each one. You should not have to ask.
Answered here so you don't have to book a call to find out.
Most sites go live in 2 to 3 weeks from the day you say yes. The free preview comes back sooner — 2 business days. The slowest part is usually waiting on photos, so if you have those ready it moves faster.
Your business name, what you do, the areas you cover, your hours, your phone number, and a handful of photos of your real work. That's the whole list. If you don't have good photos yet, say so and we'll work around it.
No. I write the copy and you approve it. You know your business better than I do, so I'll ask you a few questions and you'll correct me where I get it wrong. You are never handed a blank page.
You see a real homepage for your business before you pay anything, so the worst case is you say no and it cost you nothing. After you're in, one round of changes is included. If it's still not right after that, tell me — I'd rather fix it than have you unhappy with something you paid for.
Yes, and it stays registered in your name. Your web address does not change. I point it at the new site when the new site is ready. If you'd rather move the domain to a different registrar at the same time, that's fine — it's yours either way.
No. Google ties your ranking to your domain, and the domain isn't changing. I keep your existing page addresses where I can and set up forwards where I can't, so links that used to work keep working. A faster, phone-friendly site usually helps rather than hurts.
You keep paying it until the new site is live, then you cancel it. Your old site stays up the entire time, so there is never a day where someone searches for you and finds nothing. I'll tell you exactly when it's safe to cancel.
Yes, if it's worth moving. Reviews, photos, service descriptions, and any pages that are actually bringing you customers come across. The rest usually shouldn't. I'll tell you honestly which is which before I start.
Yes, completely. You get the domain, the hosting account, the files, and every login. Nothing is held hostage. If you want to hand it to a different person next year, you can, and you won't need my permission or my help.
The site is hosted in your own account, not mine, and the cost is small — usually a few dollars a month, sometimes free at this size. Your domain renews separately, roughly the price of a sandwich per year. Both bills are in your name, so I can't hold either over you.
Message me and I'll quote the change, or hand it to anyone you like. There is no retainer and no lock-in, which also means there's no monthly fee sitting there when you don't need anything. Small text and photo swaps are usually quick and cheap.
The build itself runs in English — the calls, the emails, and the questions I'll ask you. If your own customers read Spanish and you want Spanish on your site, say so on the form and we'll talk about what that takes.
Still stuck on something? Ask me directly — it goes to a person, not a queue.
Tell me the business name and what you do. I'll build a real homepage for it and send it over. If you don't like it, that's the end of it — no call, no follow-up sequence.
